The wedge-tailed eagle is one of the largest predatory birds in Australia and is a pretty amazing one at that. These birds can take down a kangaroo if it has to but usually, they dine on invasive European rabbits and foxes but they will also hunt other Aussie critters. They are pretty badass.

But the eagle is not the anarchist in my work, that is the eastern water dragon that is native to the east coast of Australia. These lizards are curious and if they are settled in an area can be fearless. When I was doing my residency at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary the Water Dragons happily sat next to the huge crocodile or shared the stage with the larger monitors or the big birds of prey. They made me think of the punk movement with their devil may care attitude.
