"Who you calling feral?" depicts a noisy miner shouting from the ear of a dingo. ⠀

Noisy miners are often mistaken for the introduced species the Indian myna bird. Noisy's with their black and grey feathers are native to Australia and are widespread throughout the continent. ⠀

Dingos are a little more complex. They are protected in some states, not in others, considered native in some places not in others. It is thought that the Dingo (Canis lupus dingo) arrived in Australia some 3,500 years ago when it was likely introduced by Asian seafarers. But the Queensland Museum have results from DNA studies that pose the Dingo has been in Australia even longer between 4,640 and 18,100 years. ⠀

So how long do you have to be here to be considered a local? ⠀
